Modern looking pub both inside and out at the side of the Trent & Mersey canal. The lounge and eating area is pretty much open plan and there is a separate games room.

Uninspiring range of real ales, Everards Tiger, Pedigree and G.K. Abbot. I tried the Tiger first and as it was o.k. I stuck with it for the rest of the night. The food again was o.k. In fact everything about the pub in my opinion is best described as being o.k. but just a bit short of atmosphere.

Probably my benchmark pub for ratings. There is nothing that would prevent me from using this pub in the future if I was passing but then again not one I would make a bee-line for.
